3M fibre discs 581C 100mm x 16mm P36 grit. Designed for applications where low grinding pressures or premature contamination prevent users from getting the full value out of more expensive, hi-technology grinding discs, 581C fibre discs are extremely cost-competitive but still offer many of the features that make 3M the supplier of choice for demanding grinding applications. A heavyweight, thermoformed fibre backing means the disc precisely matches the shape of its backing pad, ensuring even grinding without problems caused by disc-creasing or rippling. Dimensional stability during use is further ensured by slots around the attachment area on the larger disc sizes, which provide secure attachment to the back-up pad without wrinkling, for long disc life and a good finish.
