Masonry drill bit, tungsten 12mm x 400mm. Masonry drill bits are used for rotary drilling in brick, concrete and natural stone, length 400mm and available in various widths as shown below.
Masonry Drill Bits, although can be used in a hand brace, are generally used in a power drill for ease.
The cutting tip is often made of tungsten carbide which is then bonded to a spiralled steel shaft.
When using this drill bit with harder materials, be sure to use a low rotational speed to avoid overheating.
A Masonary Drill Bit can also be used for drilling ceramic tiles, but must be used at a slow speed and without hammer action.
The tungsten carbide tip can be sharpened using a drill sharpener or grindstone.
