Reception held at The House of Commons for Brainwave Charity.
Many Directa customers have received the Clip Cheesecake
charity books. One or two even owned up that they read them first, before
passing them on to their children.
In order to publicise the need for funds one
of the benefitting charities, 'Brainwave', held a reception on the 23rd of March at The Speakers
House in the House of Commons, Westminster.
The charity which assists over five
hundred brain damaged children in the UK to achieve their potential has to rely
totally on private funding.
The Speaker, John Bercow, who has himself an
autistic child, felt the charity should receive assistance from central
funding. Ferdie Yeatsey, the
mysterious author of children's books has dedicated all of the proceeds of the
latest Clip Cheesecake adventures to the charity. The right honourable speaker
seemed to be enjoying his first look, although strictly speaking the new book
is intended for six to ten year old readers.
Also at Beanies services was TV presenter and Tennis professional Andrew Castle who is a patron of the charity Brainwave.
